Knife Sheaths

The Classic

The classic is the standard sheath that a knife is made with unless one of the other options is requested.
The leather that is used is Veg-tan leather. This leather arrives in the workshop in a natural colour and then is cut, shaped. dyed, treated and wet-formed to the knife it has been made for.

The cost of the Classic sheath is included within the cost of the knife.

Kydex

The Kydex sheath is the perfect option if you need a sheath where the need for a greater degree of hygiene control is required. Such as processing deer for the food chain.

Kydex is a thermoplastic sheet which can be moulded when warmed to fit nearly any shape. This makes it perfect for a knife sheaths. As with the veg-tan leather each sheath is made for each individual knife.

The cost of the Kydex sheath is covered in the cost of the knife the type of sheath required should be noted at time of ordering. Both the leather and kydex sheath can be supplied for the same knife for an additional cost.

Other sheath designs

I do make a few different designs of sheath and I will also undertake addition work to sheath if that is what your personal requirements are.

The bush / bush with fire steel loop
This sheath can be made with a dangler belt loop or a one piece which attaches the sheath to the belt

Strap and drop
This sheath can be made with either or both of the belt loop types as they are interchangeable with the uses of the chicargo screws and loops on the main sheath.

Bikini Sheath
This Sheath allows you to see more of the handle material. It can be fitted with an additional strap for securing the knife yet the leather is wet formed to the blade to create a snug fit.

Drop dangler
An additional link can be added to the belt loop of the drop classic or the bush to allow movement on the longer sheaths

It is added to the bush sheaths as standard.
